Traveling to new places is one of my very favorite things. I love exploring, feeling inspired, being surrounded by different types of people, and collecting little mementos from my trips. I used to paste all of these mementos into traditional scrapbooks or photo albums, but I missed being able to hold & feel them. I switched to keeping everything in boxes, but that wasn’t doing the trick either. Then it hit me, clasp envelopes!
Now I use 6×9″ metal clasp envelopes as scrapbook pages. To get this look you need…
6×9″ clasp envelopes, you can find these at any office supply store
binder clips
photos & travel mementos
photo safe tape or glue
patterned paper
scissors
markers/pens/colored pencils
Now get started…
First decorate the front and back of your envelopes with photos and text about your trip. Leave about a 1″ margin on the front and back of the envelope, opposite the edge of the envelope opening.
Fill the envelopes with extra travel mementos like ticket stubs, museum passes, even digital files of music and videos from the trip!
Clasp the envelope shut.
Bind together multiple envelope pages with binder clips. Use two or three clips along the edge opposite of the envelope opening.
Squeeze together the metal part of the binder clips, removing them from the plastic part.

So what do you think? Will you use this tip for travel scrapbooks? Do you have another solution for keeping tiny travel mementos organized?
